About this house sitting position in Mount Lawley

Seeking a reliable & caring house/pet sitter from 4 November to 18 November 26 & for most of May 2027 (date yet to be confirmed).

Preference is for a single, quiet, mature person who doesn’t want to bring their pet & who works from home or is happy to spend a lot of time at home. We have good NBN service & can provide use of the study & a printer if required.

Located just a 5 minute drive from the city or a 30-40 minute walk if you’re up for it. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, hairdressers in close proximity in the suburbs of North Perth, Mount Lawley, Highgate, Inglewood, Morley, Bayswater.

The house is in a safe, quiet, leafy area comprised of mostly older style homes. Our property, built in 1937, has undergone extensive renovation & refurb to bring it up to contemporary standards internally, including aircon, heating, security, whilst retaining character externally.

We offer a double bedroom, guest bathroom, laundry, large open family/dining/kitchen area where there’s a lovely outlook into a park setting.
We have an unfenced front yard with carport (not suitable for a caravan). At the rear there’s indoor/outdoor flow to a large covered deck area with a few steps (or a ramp) down to the lawned area.

Bedrooms, lounge, main bathroom & powder room are on street level. Guest bedroom, bathroom, laundry, study, kitchen & dining are down 9 steps. I mention this as it may not be suitable if steps are an issue.

Netflix, Foxtel, Paramount+ available.

We keep the house clean & tidy at all times & would expect no less from a sitter. The care requirements for outdoors can obviously be discussed but we don’t anticipate any major gardening other than watering pot plants & some leaf raking. The property has bore reticulation.
There is no pool to attend to.

Our priority is the care & wellbeing of our 2 dogs. They are 6 year old male & female English cocker spaniels, litter brother & sister who are very bonded, sweet natured & playful.
They enjoy a good play/rumble with each other out the back each day & only on the odd occasion do they annoy each other.
They’re house trained & have the run of house but under no circumstances are they allowed outside the front door where we have a security door & also a small metal fence across the front porch entry for their extra safety.
The property is also well secured at the sides & back for their safety.

We don’t expect the dogs to be walked as they’ll get enough exercise playing each day & they’re not the most cooperative walkers.
We have a doggy door which they make good use of. In the evening after their dinner they’ll settle down quietly in the family room. They’ll follow you around so expect 4 extra pairs of feet wherever you go.

The dogs are only able to be left on their own for around 3 -4 hours & under no circumstances can they be left alone overnight. They’re both healthy though there are some specific feeding & simple medication requirements (which are well documented).

Actively communicate with us on a regular basis throughout the stay with updates & pictures
Be a non smoker
Respectfully care for our house & surrounds, maintain in a clean & tidy state

The house will be available for you only, definitely no overnight visitors allowed.
No other people allowed in the house at any time without prior agreement.
No parties.
No excessive noise.
References & Police Clearance preferred.
A meet & greet well prior to the start date is preferred.
