About this house sitting position in Newport

We are a family of four, with two daughters in a single storey warm and comfy home who have rescued a puppy at the beginning of 2026. Whilst we endeavour to take our newest family member on holiday with us, this is not always possible, so we are in need of care for our young beagle cross , Billy. 7 month old Billy is the sweetest, and loves to sit right with you in the beanbag, and loves a game of tug-of-war. He needs two short walks a day to keep his brain busy. He sleeps indoors in the lounge room and is crate trained, and he's completely toilet trained. He is really good with children, and also likes to meet other dogs. He's a social pup, who loves to sun bake at any opportunity. Other than meals, some walks for sniffing about, and some evening cuddles, he's pretty low maintenance.
Our home has both a backyard which has a very large deck and also lawn, and an enclosed front yard also with lawn. When we're home, Billy enjoys having run of both the front and back, saying hi to all the passers by. But if he's home alone, he's outside in the back yard, with access to a kennel and water, and usually a treat! He's fine to be left for several hours, but not overnight.
We have a large guest room which is permanently set up with a queen size bed and it doubles as our home office, so has two full desks, so anyone can work from home also. And we have off street parking for one car, with plenty of space curbside for additional vehicles if needed.
We have reverse cycle a/c which is super efficient, and we have a coffee machine you're welcome to use - otherwise there's great coffee options all in walking distance.
We live in a really lovely street, and are a 8 minute walk to the train station, with direct links to Melbourne city in 15 minutes. There's a few small grocery stores in walking distance, and major supermarkets all within a few km. We're also close to cycle paths, Newport Lakes, Williamstown beach is a 5 min drive, there's a great pub too, and don't forget the local bowls club! What a feast! We love our local community, with the sport oval at the end of our street.
