About this house sitting position in RATHMINES

EDIT- we’re still looking for a sitter- we had to shorten the trip due to world events, so we only need someone to come along for 3 nights now. If you like the idea of a short getaway, this one is for you.

Hi, we have a 2 storey lakeside home with amazing views (1st pic from back deck) and 2 wonderful female cats. Modern, fully stocked kitchen with 90cm stove top and dishwasher, wood floors, 2 queen size beds. Aircon and fans, beautiful natural light.

Juno (Russian Blue) and Seren (Tabby) are both rescues :) They are people friendly cats who will keep you company and give you attention. They are OK outside during the day but indoors only at night. Juno is on daily medication but we have her trained well, and is very playful. Seren likes any human who doesn't try to to pick her up and has V8 sized purr. It's a delight to hear.

Quiet neighbourhood with lovely neighbours and easy walking. Close to lake, shops, 5 star restaurants, cafes, bush walks, and beaches. Wangi and Toronto are close by and have some lovely bakeries and cafes. Not the easiest for public transport but Morisset train station can get you to Sydney in 90min, if you drive to the station.

We’ll need you to look after the girls, and also the indoor plants/garden (not much to do here)/bins. Non smokers only and no other pets as the girls do not like dogs, and will not take to another cat.

NOTE: There is no secure caravan parking but you can park a caravan out the front (at your own risk) and the house is on a steep but manageable block.

We have some great neighbours who can be an emergency contact as well, for peace of mind.

We leave on 15 May 2026 but would like for you to arrive a day or 2 early to get to know the cats and the house. We look forward to meeting you. Anna and Jonathan
