About this house sitting position in Red Head/ Hallidays Point
We are going away on holidays for 7 nights in January and would like someone to care for our dog 'Max'.
We have a small 3 bedroom comfortable home, in a lovely quiet part of Hallidays Point area (Red Head).
We are a 10 minute walk to the beach which also has an ocean pool/baths. You just have to cross the road and walk down a short nature walk to Black Head beach. You can also walk to the Black Head shops through the bush track.
We are a 20 minute drive to Tuncurry/ Forster, and also 30 minutes to Taree.
Max is an 8 year old Jack Russell crossed with Basenji. He was a rescue dog and we have had him for 4 years. We would like someone who isn't going to be out a lot as he can be a bit unsure while we are gone. He was very anxious when we got him at first and didn't like being left alone, but he has settled in well and is used to us being gone for about half the day most days.
We would like someone to walk him down to the beach each day as we usually walk him for about half an hour each day, sometimes twice a day. He isn't very friendly with other dogs so we tend to walk him when there aren't as many people walking their dogs. We always keep him on the lead and avoid being close to other dogs. We have taught him to sit and not bark at other dogs from a distance, but he can struggle with this up close.
Max loves to snuggle on the lounge at night beside us and loves the occasional game. He is well behaved in the house.
We have fast NBN wifi/internet.
We have wonderful neighbours who will make you feel welcome also.
We would love to hear from you if you think our doggy and home would suit you, thanks! Read more...
