About this house sitting position in The Gurdies

We need a house sitter and you need a holiday.

This is an easy house sit. All you have to do is feed one cat and four chooks and collect the eggs daily. There is a vegie garden but is low maintenance so might not be much to do. We have a large executive style home on three acres overlooking The Gurdies State Forrest with bush walks and views to French Island and Mornington Peninsula. Phillip Island is a twenty-minute drive, and we are an hour and a half east of Melbourne with good roads all the way. Five minutes' drive to the Kernot Food & Wine Store, a great local restaurant/ pizza bar, and a choice of bakery, cafes and wine bar in Grantville. The Gurdies Winery is three minutes up the road, and they have live music on Sundays. You will have the use of the house which is very comfortable with a wood fire as well as reverse cycle heating and air conditioning. Neat house keepers and references are required.

Janice & Rob were very welcoming and made every effort to make our stay comfortable. We enjoyed looking after Max, the cat, who was friendly and easy going. While there were some Major Weather elements to our stay, we persevered the storm and made the most out of our time in such a stunning location. Janice and Rob were terrific help during our stay and made sure they did everything to help for a smooth a stay as possible with no running water or electricity. We were so grateful for your communication you were both really helpful and they provided us with detailed instructions for their property and Gorgeous Max who we adored. We look forward to meeting them on the road ?and the chance to sit again highly recommend them as hosts ????”

“Our little family of 3 had the pleasure of looking after Janice and Rob's beautiful property, gorgeous cat Max and 5 chickens. They have a really lovely home, with everything you could possibly need. We were most comfortable during our stay and really enjoyed the company of Max. Our young son loved collecting chook eggs daily, watering the veggie garden and feeding the worms. Taking in the beautiful views of green rolling hills, bushland and waterviews on a daily basis was a highlight! They are in a great location for anyone wanting to explore nearby tourist attractions. Communication between Janice and Rob was excellent. They are lovely people and made us feel very welcome. We would highly recommend a house sit for their property. ”
