About this house sitting position in Thurgoona

We have a lovely spacious 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home close to Albury and Wodonga CBDs, and nearby Lake Hume. Located on the border, our sleepy town is nestled along the Murray River and is the sister city to Wodonga. Our home and yard is low maintenance and offers year round comfort with ducted heating and evaporative cooling. The kitchen spills into the living and dining area that then flows out to the alfresco dining/bbq. We also have room for your boat or caravan on a designated pad beside the house!!

We require semi regular house sitting and prefer someone with experience with, and a love for animals. When house sitting, we ask you care for our two special needs dogs. Captain is a one eyed, well behaved, very disciplined Kelpie, and Stevie is a completely blind but joyful Kelpie pup. We also have a rescue galah called Hampton and a rabbit called Thumper. The dogs love a cuddle, a walk if you’re so inclined, the galah enjoys a scratch and a chat, and the rabbit enjoys a cuddle.

For the boating enthusiast, there’s a boat ramp nearby to access Lake Hume, or if you fancy a day trip, we are located close to the Rutherglen wineries, Corowa Whiskey Distillery, Bright, Beechworth, Wangaratta, and Yackendandah.
