About this house sitting position in Umina Beach

We are heading to the UK for 3.5 weeks and we want to our cats settled in their own home. we have used mindahome many times for this reason.

Whilst we are away, we need someone to look after our home, water a few plants, mow the lawn and look after our two cats.

Millie and Bobby Nigel are our fur children. They would prefer to stay in their own home whilst we are away so that their routine and scenery isn’t disturbed. Boarding would cause additional stress on top of us leaving them for an extended period.

Millie is now 10 and an independent lady. She’s not a lap cat, but she doesn't mind an occasional stroke and you can scoop her up for a short cuddle before she runs off outside to explore or sits close by you. Millie normally sleeps on my bed or on her chair.

Bobby Nigel is 4yrs old, a cuddly ginger with so much love to give. He will hang out with you all day and evening. Like most ginger cats he enjoys having a good chat. He sleeps on my bed or on the couch.

Both cats have lovely temperaments. They don't bite, scratch or growl. We have a cat door which provides them with freedom during the day, but we remove access overnight so that both cats are kept in. This protects them, other cats and the Australian wildlife.

They both know their names and are generally in the house by 10pm, ready for bed.

The cats don’t really get on unfortunately. We got Bobby to replace an older boy we had Harry. Millie hasn’t really taken to him as he’s been a bit boisterous. She will growl at him and he will try to annoy her… so we keep them separate with the priority being Millie’s comfort as the original cat.

My home is a weatherboard house in Umina. It is 5 minutes drive to Woy Woy station and 5 minutes drive to the beach. Buses are also easy to catch to both with bus stops close by to Woy Woy or Umina. The National park is close by with lots of lovely walking opportunities.

The house has a front hedge (which should be ok for maintenance) and front and rear we have lawns. These will probably need mowing and watering if there is no rain. The whole block is fully fenced and we have a carport and driveway.

There is a lovely queen bedroom with ample storage for you to stay in. There is foxtel (inc. sport), netflix etc and internet. If you work from home, there is also a desk with monitors and keyboard for your use. In the lounge there is a a split-cycle air conditioning unit for heat or cool air.
The house has a lovely deck at the rear where you can relax and enjoy the view with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee in the morning (we have a coffee machine).
