More information about this house sitter

Hello. My name is Tricia, I'm a mature, female, solo traveller with a love of animals of all shapes and sizes. I was born in the UK and traveled to Australia, originally for a gap year after finishing uni, but I fell in love with the country and have lived here ever since. I have worked in Aged Care for over 20 years, which I find very rewarding and fulfills my caring nature. I own my own little miners cottage in the Goldfields of Victoria which I have lovingly renovated with care and attention to detail. I really enjoy DIY projects, and often joke that I work better with an electric drill than I do with an electric food mixer. I am very house proud, and have experience in all things related to looking after your own home. I have travelled by myself in the UK, Europe and Australia which has helped me to become resilient, flexible and patient. I love walking in nature especially near water be it the sea, a lake or a creek. I have a huge love of furry creatures and have had mice, rats, rabbits, fish, guinea pigs, cats and dogs as part of the family. I take pet ownership very seriously and understand how we are a vital part of the animals welfare and how much they give to us as well.
I am in a position to be able to follow my interest in visiting new places as my children have flown the nest. Also, for the first time since very young, I no longer have a fur baby of my own as my dear cat Rascal passed away at the respectable age of 18. She had been part of the family since a kitten and I really miss cat cuddles and the company of four legged friends. I believe that caring for your pets and looking after your home is a fair exchange for the pleasure it will provide me with the delight of spending quality time with your pets and discovering new places to visit as a local rather than as a tourist. You will be able to take a well earned holiday, or business trip or other travel, knowing that you do not have to worry about your beautiful animals or your precious home.
I have had the pleasure of house sitting for several friends and family members, caring for cats and dogs and chooks. I have stayed in many airbnb's and have received great reviews on how clean and tidy I have left these places. I try and follow the idea of "leave no trace", taking rubbish home with me when I have been out for a walk and reducing and reusing wherever I can. As a home owner, I have managed day to day running of a house as well as unplanned emergencies. I have a small garden which I enjoy tending to so am happy to care for your plants too.
