Active single female, pet loving retiree

Hi, I am an active retiree who loves to keep busy. I am a Rotarian, musician, artist and love to walk and play golf whenever I can. I live in Albury where I own an art gallery inspired Airbnb (Cullalo ArtHouse) with a five-star super host rating. My wonderful agent looks after all bookings and manages every aspect of the guest turnaround so there’s no need for me to be at the property.

I’m wanting to house-sit as I want to spend more time in Melbourne where I lived for many years and have a great circle of family and friends. I’m also keen to house-sit in other cities across Australia should the opportunity arise.

My experience with pets goes back to childhood, having grown up on a farm riding horses and playing with my pet dogs, cats, cows and lambs. In more recent times I have owned a beautiful small dog, a Maltese Poodle cross. Since her passing I’ve travelled quite a lot overseas and spent 12 months travelling around Australia in my caravan. All pre Covid! I’d love to have another dog so I see house sitting and minding other people’s pets as a way of having that connection to a pet but leaves me free to travel when I can.

I love my garden and although I have a lawn mowing service that keeps the lawns looking fabulous, I look after most other general garden maintenance including the guest house Airbnb garden.

I am just about to complete a fairly extensive commitment as President of my Rotary Club, the largest in our District. It been a challenging and extremely rewarding role and as testament to the professionalism I portrayed I was immediately offered a Rotary District board position overseeing 65 Clubs across Victoria and Southern NSW. I have declined the offer as I am interested in doing more travelling and spending time with family who don’t live in my local area.

I take pride in my home, my health, my fitness and persona. I keep an extremely clean and well maintained home and would love the opportunity to look after your special pet/s, your home and garden. I feel sure any homeowner would find me to be reliable and professional in everything I do.

Although not set in stone, my preference would be to house-sit a smaller breed of dog or a cat in a unit, apartment, or smaller home. I’d be most happy to water pot plants and garden and if stays were of a longer period, do some general garden maintenance like weeding. I’m not too keen on mowing lawns.
