My name is Ana Catarina, but everyone calls me Ana, and this is my boyfriend, Joel.

In Portugal, I worked as a music teacher and a flutist and composer in spare time. I quit my job and bought a one-way ticket. I'm interested in learning new skills and experience new challenges. I'm on a work and holiday visa.

Joel's scenario is slightly different; in Portugal he worked as a frontend developer and civil painter. He's also on a work and holiday visa.

We adopted the van lifestyle for this adventure and we are travelling the country and doing some casual work.

Learning and exchanging how other cultures see the world and live their lives always fascinated us.

In Portugal, we have four dogs (Teemo, Jubas, Princess and Balu), all adopted.
We grew up surrounded by animals - Joel had lived on a farm!
