I am a caring, reliable, trustworthy, non-smoker who loves to meet home owners and their pets. I am currently looking for a house or apartment to sit, fairly close to Sydney city or the beach, but I am open to other areas.

I enjoy looking after dogs, cats, birds, fish and gardens. My own dogs have been a Labrador, Beagle and Australia Kelpie but I love all dogs! I appreciate the importance of maintaining the usual routine of a pet, and am happy to follow all walking and feeding routines. I will love your pet in a genuine and warm way. I am also a green thumb so enjoy maintaining gardens; and a conservationist who has spent over 10 years rehabilitating local cyclone ravaged regions of North Queensland.

I am temporarily in Sydney before heading to Scotland to house sit again. My children are married with lives of their own so now mum can travel! I have two lovely homes in Queensland that I rent out, one a small hobby farm growing fruit and veg on the fringe of a tropical rainforest, and another Queenslander house in Townsville... so I am conscious of the expectations property owners have for tenants/sitters caring for and respecting property and leaving it as found. I have chosen to rent my own property in order to fund trips.

For many years I worked for South Australian and Queensland Government departments and was a Justice of the Peace - demonstrating my level of clearances and responsibility. As an office bearer, under the auspice of Landcare Australia, I have been cleared by Police to hold a current Positive Notice Blue Card to work with children and volunteers for the organisation.

Reasons why I believe I am the ideal house sitter:
- I'm Police cleared.
- I'm trustworthy.
- I'm a morally sound person with a strong sense of responsibility.
- I'm an educated and intelligent person.
- I love pets!
- I have house sitting experience. Previously in Kellyville and Toowoon Bay in NSW and Aberdeenshire in Scotland.
- I don't smoke and am only a light social drinker.
- I'm tidy and clean, preferring everything to be in order.
- I'm committed to personal safety and the safety of the house, locking doors when home as a priority.
- I prefer to have minimal lighting at night to conserve energy bills.

I can understand the uncertainties home owners may have of a stranger looking after their prized possessions, so I can send photos and keep in touch with you while you're away with any updates, or just a general chat, to ensure that you have peace of mind that your home and pets are being well looked after. To help you feel more at ease, I'm happy to meet any prospective homeowner for an interview or walk through at the home, or nearby café, prior to being offered the opportunity of home sitting for you. I look forward to meeting you and your pets.
