Hi, I’m Lauren. I would love to pet-sit and/or house-sit for you anywhere in the Melbourne Region in exchange for accommodation.

I’m a solo house-sitter/pet-sitter. I won’t be bringing any people or animals to your home.

I have a National Police Clearance that I just got on 27 April 2024. No criminal history at all. I love cats, dogs, birds, fish, all animals. I am clean, tidy, responsible and respectful. I don’t smoke, take drugs or consume alcohol. I’m 27 years old. I’m healthy and active. I’m vegan. I’m an introvert, quiet and not into partying.

I rely on public transport, so I’d prefer somewhere where public transport is easily accessible.

I’ll be needing somewhere to stay from Tuesday 7 May 2024 onwards. I can stay as long as you need me, a few days, weeks or even months.

For paid work, I do promo work (getting hired to hand out flyers, coupons or free samples of food etc).

In my spare time, I enjoy dancing and singing (badly, haha), going for walks, watching movies/TV shows, listening to music and writing poetry. I regularly do volunteer admin work for an animal protection charity. I also occasionally volunteer at an animal sanctuary.

I consider housesitting a huge privilege as I’m being trusted with your home and beloved pets/ companion animals. I would never take this for granted.

I love cats and have spent time with friends’ and family’s cats.

I have 16 years (2002-2018) of experience looking after my family’s pet birds in a walk-in aviary.

I love dogs and I have 19 years of experience (2005-present) looking after my family’s pet dogs.

Altogether that’s 22 years of experience (2002-present) looking after my family’s pets.

EXPERIENCE WITH DOGS:

I would absolutely love to go for walkies with your pet, and give them attention and pats. I love getting cuddles and kisses from animals (on their terms of course). I’d be happy to let them sleep where-ever they want or where-ever you want them to, my bed, couch, dog bed, where-ever. I’d also love to play chasey, tug of war, and go fetch with them.

I would never hit or spray water on an animal or do any negative reinforcement training or punishments.

I love my family’s dogs so much. They are members of the family. And if I was pet-sitting for you, I’d treat your animal companions as my own.

Please note: I will NOT be bringing my family’s pets to your house-sit. My family’s pets live with (and will stay with) my family at their home.

My timeline history with dogs:

I have loved and cared for all my family’s dogs from puppy age until old age when they have crossed the rainbow bridge from serious illness. I have lived with dogs for 19 years. I’ve cared for dogs who are deaf, and who have serious illnesses like cancer.

My local vet could provide a reference upon request. We have been taking our dogs to the same vet regularly for 19 years.
