Thank you for reading our profile and considering us as your next ( or first ) housesitters.

We have been house and Pet Sitting for over 5 years now as we travelled Australia. We are now permanently based in Qld.

We are a retired/ semi-retired, happy, friendly, non-smoking couple living in the Sunshine Coast area Qld.

As a mostly retired couple who enjoy the quiet life, we are not away from home very much. The care of your property and pets is always our priority.

We are happy to care for your lawns and gardens, collect and/or redirect mail, maintain pools/ponds and keep your home clean,tidy and secure. We always maintain the utmost respect and privacy while caring for your home.

We will also make sure your pets are happy, content and well cared for so you can enjoy your time away with complete peace of mind. We are very respectful of your pets routine and well being.

We are more than happy to keep in touch with you during your absence and let you know how your pets are going.

We have had experience with Dogs/cats with Anxiety and requiring administration of medications. We are happy to care for Pets with special needs, please feel free to discuss.

We are also very mindful of the current Covid situation, adhering to guidelines to keep a safe relationship between us and our homeowners.

A little about us:

In late 2014 we decided to pack up and travel around Australia with our newly acquired caravan.
We commenced housesitting late 2015, now having over 40 wonderful housesitting experiences all across Australia.

With a genuine love of animals, discovering new places and meeting new people, housesitting became a great alternative lifestyle to add to our travels.

We like to keep active and have enjoyed housesitting/farm sitting and caring for everyones lovely homes and quite a menagerie of pets during our travels.

We have even managed bnbs and holiday resorts in our travels so very accustomed to maintaining properties to a high standard.

Our love of all animals/birds and warm sunny weather, recently led us to purchasing a little bush block in Qld and We look forward to building a home here soon to enjoy the Wildlife.

Our services are free in exchange for accommodation in your home and use of utilities. (Power, water etc ) Happy to negotiate a contribution to utilities for long term sits, however we assure you we are very conservative with the use of electricity and water.

We usually have a small caravan (Which we live in between sits) but this can be stored elsewhere if there is no space on your property.

Additional References including contact numbers for past homeowners, are available on request. We also have Police checks and Working With Children check.

Rating: 5.0 Joy and Terry looked after our house and two dogs over the Christmas period and they made us feel very comfortable in leaving them and trusting our dogs in their care. From the first meeting we found them very friendly and our dogs took to them straight away. They communicated really well and even kept us updated during our trip. The house was spotless on our return and everything in order . The garden and pool were maintained extremely well. They looked after our home as we would . Rating: 5.0 This was our first experience with house sitters and we were reluctant to leave our much loved pets and house in someone else's care. But thanks to Joy and Terry we had a wonderful 5 week holiday. They provided excellent communication before, during and after their stay, even using FaceTime to meet us and answer any of our questions, they also sent photos of our dogs while we were away. We have 2 dogs, one being an elderly dog who needed extra care requirements, daily injections and a weekly dog wash. Joy and Terry were happy to do this for us. Joy even made extra homemade dog food for our dogs and purchased more food when it was required. Terry mowed our lawn and even filled in holes the dogs had dug. The house was clean and tidy when we returned. We were so grateful to have people who could take on the extra medical responsibilities for our dogs and would recommend Joy and Terry as reliable, friendly and trustworthy people to look after your home and pets.
