Hi there! We’re Kiana and Tomi, an international couple who can’t wait to take care of your home and pets while you’re away. We’re non-smokers, responsible, and tidy, and we’ll treat your home with the utmost care. Here’s a bit more about who we are and why house sitting is a perfect fit for us.

Hi! I’m Kiana, 23 years old, and from Vienna, Austria. I’m a part-time philosophy student and about to begin training in counseling after we finish our semester in Australia. I’m fascinated by psychology and communication—it’s my passion to understand people better and help them grow.

Right now, I work part-time as an Agile Communications Manager in IT, which I’ll soon be doing remotely from anywhere. I’ve been horseback riding since I was five years old, and I love caring for horses—it’s something I’ve been passionate about for years. I also love spending time in and around water—snorkeling and diving are some of my favorite activities! Growing up, I had a cat named Tiger, which gave me plenty of experience in caring for animals. I love traveling, nurturing my ever-growing collection of plants, and hunting down the best pastries wherever we go.

Hi! I’m Tomi, a proud Aussie (born and raised on the Gold Coast) with a strong Hungarian connection—passport, language skills, and a love of hearty Hungarian dishes included. I’m in my final semester at the University of Queensland, studying engineering and economics, and I work remotely as a process manager for an Austrian company.

Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, I had two adorable cocker spaniels— Chester, and Chilli— and one high energy kelpie— Nelly— who brought so much joy and energy into our home. Outside of work and studies, I enjoy painting, traveling, and anything involving a board—surfing, snowboarding, and skating are my go-to activities. As a naturally tidy and organized person, I find it rewarding to care for homes and keep everything running smoothly.

After living together in Austria for a while, we’ve decided to explore life in Brisbane while I (Tomi) finish my studies. We’ll be staying for a semester (Feb to July), and house sitting feels like a fantastic way to experience life in the city while helping others care for their homes and pets. Kiana is excited to see how she enjoys the Aussie lifestyle—it might help us decide if we’d like to move back to Australia permanently someday.

Right now, we're house sitting in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We used to live in the Austrian countryside, where we’ve been caring for our landlord’s two cats whenever he’s away. They became like part-time family, and we loved having them around. In the past, we’ve also house sat for friends and family in both Austria and Australia. One of our favorite experiences was looking after two cute Westies in Upper Coomera for 3 weeks —lots of cuddles, walks, and some pretty entertaining games of fetch.
