Hello, we are Bee and JD. We can imagine how weird and anxious you might feel about leaving your treasured pet(s), personal belongings, home and garden in the care of virtual strangers. In the past we have left ours in the care of friends or family- we knew them and even then we worried. We can appreciate the stress you might be going through and we are sorry for that. Rest assured, you won't find better people who understand animals and nobody better to keep your house and garden tidy and secure.

I'm Bee, a cat lover and writer, born in Melbourne, Victoria. 
My husband JD, is a software developer, a dog lover and grew up on a farm in the Wheatbelt in Western Australia.
We both work from our laptops part-time in our own business.

We are not tourists.
We will be at home on your property all day (excluding food shopping etc). Your pets will get loads of attention if you have them.
We're happy for you to give us a to do list of what you'd like done while you're away and anything you'd like us to be super careful with or keep super clean.
We are non-drinkers, non-smokers, environmental, vegetarian, recyclers, composters.
We don't have children and we don't have pets.
There will not be any guests dropping by.

We don't have a caravan nor a motorhome, just our older Mercedes van.
We will provide our own: food and beverages, most bedding, hairdryer, towels, toiletries and most kitchenware.
We use chemical free and perfume free dishwashing detergent, bathroom and laundry products.
Between us, up until 2015, we have always had cats, chickens, dogs, goats, guinea pigs and horses at one time or another.

We have been accepted as house sitters from late May almost straight through to mid September at this stage. Otherwise we have stayed in many Air Bnbs in Australia and overseas and can send 10 of these references to you privately if you like.

JD is very good at operating all sorts of vehicles and mechanical contraptions. He is an avid gardener growing our veggies (see pics in our profile of flowering potato crop, tomato harvest and JD building another possum proof veggie cage).

We have been together for 12 years, living mostly in the leafy, pretty, north eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria.

We have both lived and travelled in Western Australia and have frequently travelled through Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

We were in Europe for most of 2022 and have been living in Tasmania ever since we got back. We lived in Latrobe for 1.5 years and we have been living in Mole Creek (central highlands) since mid 2024, residing in a 190 acre, fully OFF-GRID property, leaving late May 2025.
