Hi, I’m Sophia. My husband Ben, our daughter Jacinta make up our house-sitting team.
After 20 years in Alice Springs, we sold everything in 2020 to travel Australia full-time as a family. For the past three+ years we’ve been living on the road, embracing new communities, experiences, and ways of life — and caring for some wonderful homes and animals along the way.
Our first sit was in Darwin during Cyclone Helen — an unforgettable introduction. We secured the property, rode out the storm with two very anxious dogs, and had everything cleaned up before the owners returned. Safe to say, we don’t scare easily.
Since then, we’ve completed 11 sits caring for cattle, horses, sheep, ducks, chooks, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea fowl and more. We’re practical, capable, calm people — experienced homeowners who treat every property with genuine respect.
We understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and settled while you’re away. It’s a privilege to be trusted with someone’s home and animals, and we take that responsibility seriously.
We’re non-smokers, tidy, hands-on, and particularly keen on farm or rural stays — always happy to learn and help where needed.
