More information about this house sitter

We are Douwe (26) and Bente (27), a Dutch couple who grew up in the Netherlands. Bente is a cardiology nurse, while Douwe holds an Msc in Healthcare Innovation and has previously worked as an consultant. We decided to take some time off and travel across the world. We spent the last three months in a campervan exploring New Zealand. We're staying in Australia for another six months to work and visit Douwe's brother in Burleigh Heads. Hiking and sports (Crossfit, jogging, and weightlifting) are two of our favourite activities. We are gardening enthusiasts that enjoy caring for indoor (and outdoor) plants. We provided a snapshot of our house, complete with all of our plants. It's no problem if you want us to keep an eye on your plants aswel. Puzzles, cooking, and reading are among Bente's hobbies. Douwe enjoys restoring his old motorcycle, birdwatching, and water sports (such as sailing and fishing).

We adore animals. We miss having furry companions around now that we're travelling and would love to have some extra company again. We both grew up with a variety of animals around us, ranging from goldfish to dogs, cats, hamsters, and pet rabbits. Douwe grew up in the countryside and enjoyed helping out on farms as a child. While living alone, Bente had her own cat. Furthermore, when we return home, we would like to have our own dog and/or cat, but we are unsure of what breed to get. We want to learn more about the personality of many animals this way. We are excellent pet and house sitters because we are structured, caring, loving, and appreciate a clean/tidy environment. We have pet sitting experience because we did it a number of times in Amsterdam (but not through this platform).

We both have prior experience home sitting with animals. Every summer from the age of 16 to 20, Bente has cared after a place of residence. When Douwe was still living with his parents, he used to look after his neighbor's house. We have pet sitting experience because we have done it in Amsterdam multiple times (but not through this platform). Max (the labradoodle) gave us frequent visits when his mom had to work.
