I'm Bonnie, a 47 year old woman who loves nature, animals, creativity ( writing, crafting, and - lately- learning a little about photography), reading, music, comedy ( I have an especial fondness for British comedy), and spending time with my brilliant, creative, daughter.

I'd been planning to travel, and after having several people suggest House Sitting to me as something to try whilst travelling, I thought it wouldn't hurt to join this site and give it a go! Almost a year later, I've now completed many sits for a range of awesome, interesting people and their beautiful pets ( and homes!), and have, as such, accumulated some excellent references ( which I'll be happy to provide to prospective pet and home owners). I feel my house sitting era *may* come to its end by mid 2026, but I remain open to whatever life may bring...

Although my original plan was to make my way up north, I ended up mostly exploring the South! And I am still open to being in Victoria, Tasmania, South Aus, or NSW over the coming months ( because you know what they say: " Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans "!)

While this last year pet sitting has been a new experience for me, I have a lot of experience looking after various types of pets, having grown up on farms, and also having had pets my entire life. I've even been lucky enough to develop special bonds with friend's pets over the years, too. Whether they be cats, dogs, cows, budgies or goldfish, I firmly believe that pets make a house a home ( I also get a kick out of seeing birds and other wildlife in the garden). And for this reason, I am hoping to be able to find positions that do involve caring for pets. I am flexible, however.

IMPORTANT: I must add that I do not drive, so am reliant on public transport and my own two legs to get around. This means that I unfortunately cannot accept positions that are not within reasonable walking distance from either supermarkets/ post office, etc. OR buses/ trains/ trams that can get me to those places. ( I do love a good walk, so these things wouldn't have to be right on your doorstep or anything!) .
