Hello! I am a Canadian lover of animals, adventures, and Australia (and Australians)! I am in Australia from Jan 2024 onward (hoping to move here indefinitely), and my favourite way to explore is to spend time with locals, not do the usual touristy things. I'd prefer to do something meaningful with my time while minimizing my expenses, hence my desire to house/pet sit :)

I have past experience volunteering as a foster cat mom with Toronto Cat Rescue, which was an incredibly rewarding experience. I loved witnessing distressed and fearful cats gradually start to become more themselves as they got healthier and recovered from their traumatic circumstances, often abandoned and found barely alive. The only sad part was letting them go to their new families. In this role I dealt with a few challenging cases requiring oral medications and particular dietary needs. My hardest case, however, was the adorable cat who I couldn't play with ENOUGH ;)

While most of my pet experience is with cats, I love all animals. I've also been a sitter for friends' dogs, and even a python. Other animals I have experience caring for are guinea pigs and fish. Cats are definitely my forte, though.

Oh, and I am also a plant mom, and would make sure any of your plant babies receive the care they need.

My lifestyle is very easy going, outdoorsy, and active. I love to cycle, swim, kayak, and hike. Camping and backcountry hiking trips are what I live for. I take myself for walks daily, and having a pooch for company would be most welcome ;). I work as a personal trainer and Thai massage practitioner and my life has been dedicated to helping humans take care of their bodies better. Happy to lend a helping hand to any humans with aching bodies, as well as care for your dearest animals babies.

One of my highest values is to treat others the way I'd like to be treated- This includes your pets and your home. I am responsible and respectful of your space. I am very tidy. I do not drink or party. I am a very quiet and introspective/introverted person. I am an excellent communicator and would make sure that we have come to a mutual agreement on how often you'd like updates on your pets, and the best way to be in touch so that you have peace of mind that your pets are happy, healthy, and thriving.
