Hello,
I have had several house sitting positions through MindaHome ,though not since 2016. My circumstances are changing and I can consider sitting again.
I'm a 66 year single, non smoking, recently retired lady with no animals of my own at present, and miss their company.
My working background was in aged care and disability, but I also have a horticultural qualification ( so can take good care of your plants !)
I was an RSPCA Warranted Inspector in New Zealand for 5 years, where I also managed the animal shelter, and worked for Riding for the Disabled in NZ for many years as an Instructor.
I've owned animals all my life, and had a 5 acre farm in Warwick, where I had dogs, cats, chooks, sheep and alpacas. I was an owner builder and built my own house, so am practical and handy ( but not very mechanically minded I'm afraid, if the mower doesn't start I'll have to phone a friend !) I enjoy gardening.
I am a tidy, clean living, non smoker and will treat your animals and property with the care and respect they would get if they were my own. I am confident and capable with all animals, I have common sense and can follow instructions!
Through my work I have recent police check and yellow card and can supply telephone and/or written references via private contact.
Now retired, I can be home most of the time to keep your furry or feathered family company.
I am currently based in the Redlands where I have family, and more than happy to meet with you prior to your required date.
Due to other commitments I have very limited specific dates in mind, so apologies in advance if not available.
