We are a 76 year old happy couple of retired professionals (University Consultant and Naval Officer), who are looking to settle in SE QLD in the future.

We are sober, non-smoking, fit and healthy active types who have enjoyed the company of pets (dogs, cats, birds) all our lives. We love the outdoors, and enjoy tending the garden. With both city living and 20 years of mixed farming operation and management behind us, we are equally at home in an urban or rural setting and are good, practical problem solvers if any issues crop up.

Our house sitting experience to date includes a three month stay on a 20 acre rural property in the Hunter Valley (with a luxury guesthouse, cattle, chickens, and cats), short term inner-city stays in Brisbane and Melbourne, an eight month house sit on a one acre property (with extensive lawns, gardens and a pool), a five month stay in suburban house (with lovely gardens), and two weeks by the sea (with a beautiful collie dog), all in Hervey Bay.

After three months in Brisbane with an active little French Bulldog, we thoroughly enjoyed looking after a lovely garden and a multitude of house plants for four fabulous months in Tasmania. This was followed by a short Victorian sit with a delightful blue heeler and wonder cat as we wended our way back to Queensland where we are now enjoying Brisbane life with two quirky ginger cats.
