About Us:

We are Alex and Brylee, a couple recently returned from spending a year and a half in Canada visiting family. Currently, we're living on a 40-acre off-grid property in regional Victoria, where we care for a variety of animals, including two dogs, two cats, 15 chickens, 10 ducks, and two horses. We tend to a large vegetable garden, a floral garden, and numerous houseplants, while also managing daily tasks like collecting eggs, feeding animals, and maintaining the off-grid setup. We’re both outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy nature walks and bird watching, and we’re excited to take this opportunity to explore more of Australia through house sitting. We have a six month old baby girl called Nina.

About Alex:

Alex, 34, is originally from Canada and has lived in Australia for the past 10 years. With a passion for travel, he has visited over 40 countries and has worked across Australia as an engineer, specializing in heavy machinery repairs. Currently, Alex works full-time as a remote Project Manager, leveraging his background as a mechanical engineer. He is hardworking, responsible, and known for his problem-solving skills and hands-on approach to DIY projects. Alex also enjoys photography, bird watching, and anything that brings him closer to nature and adventure.

About Brylee:

Brylee, 34, is a true country girl, born and raised in the alpine region of Victoria on the same bushland property where they currently reside. Growing up, her parents ran a shelter for orphaned and injured wildlife and built their own off-grid mudbrick home, instilling in her a deep connection with animals and nature. With 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Brylee is a qualified chef, barista, and experienced cafe manager. Her gentle, kind, and friendly demeanor, coupled with the care and responsibility required in her line of work, translates seamlessly to her approach to home and pet sitting, making her a dependable and compassionate carer.
