Hi! My name is Amanda. I’m a 44 year old professional with a love for animals and new adventures.
Over the years, I have looked after a number of loved family pets and other animals including bull dogs, groodles, chihuahuas, chickens and cats - all with different personalities and preferences.

I'm a keen gardener and take pride in keeping a nice home. As I did at my place, I mow, whipper snip, weed and conduct general home maintenance. I'm practical and have no problem triaging issues as they arise.

I understand that it can be a big deal leaving your house and pets to a stranger, and am always happy to provide a current police check for serious applicants and give regular updates/ zooms while you’re away.

About me! I started housesitting through this site in early 2024, after deciding I needed to take a break from the 9-5 and retrain in an area I am passionate about (Sustainability). I own my own home (currently rented), and housesitting is providing the opportunity to work part-time and study.

I also love animals, and love the opportunity to spend time and look after different pets. As I only work part-time, I'm around home more than average. Work is in the city, so anywhere around the 50km radius is great.
