More information about this house sitterHello dear pet owners
Just a few days ago, my calendar showed bookings right through to the end of the year. How times have changed. We have all had to cancel our plans due to the these exceptionally difficult circumstances. I will miss all my animal friends, but look forward to re-bookings and new sits when we are in more certain times. In the mean time stay safe and well as we make adjustments to a new way of being. May your pets' love and companionship give you much comfort in the upcoming days, weeks and months.
As there's no harm in looking ahead, please enjoy reading my profile in anticipation of your next dreamed-of holiday.
I’m Andrea, a caring, considerate, conscientious, mature woman and an experienced house sitter. I'm looking forward to caring for your dearest furry friends in the comfort of their own home.
I am really looking forward to getting to know your much-loved pets, their special characteristics and individual personalities. Each is such a precious being and unique in every way! Your pets will receive all the time, attention, care, cuddles and understanding they need from me.
I love making strong connections with animals and owners and am happy to say I have been invited back for future sits with my animal pals. Owners have told me I have a calm, stable presence and that this has a positive effect on their pets. I think it goes two ways - they give me so much in return.
Your privacy and security are guaranteed; they are as important to me as they are to you. Past work has required the highest security clearance by ASIO (Federal government work, Parliament House, Canberra). I also have a current Blue Card.
Your home is your sanctuary. I completely guarantee your personal space, belongings and surroundings will be treated with the highest respect.
Your peace of mind will be my priority while you’re away. You can be confident with my staying in your personal space, knowing that your pets are feeling happy and well-cared for, your privacy stays intact, and everything is in safe, trustworthy, reliable hands.
First and foremost, I absolutely love animals! House sitting is the best animal therapy ever - I get so much joy and happiness from my little (and large) charges. All thanks to kind owners for generously sharing their beautiful pets with me and enhancing my life this way.
I'm practical, capable and independent and lead a clean-living, healthy lifestyle. I'm a non-smoker, life-long vegetarian and enjoys exercise and walking daily. I love a quiet life. Books, writing, gardens and study are 'me'. I'm also a qualified horticulturist with a wide background in the field, so enjoy plants, the splendour of nature and the great outdoors in general. Your garden will be in good hands.
A peaceful environment is essential to me, so I really love and need a home in a tranquil, spacious location. I'm very clean, organised and meticulous so a very clean, well maintained home is imperative.
The majority of my sits have been on acreage properties as this perfectly meets my need for nature, wide open spaces and peace. However, I'm very open to a large suburban home with private outdoor areas in a quiet neighbourhood, well away from main thoroughfares.
I'm a home body so love plenty of time relaxing quietly at home. I have a home-based online part-time job, so I'm around most of the time to give your pets plenty of company and activities.
Having done intermittent housesitting over many years, I am now thoroughly enjoying the freedom and diversity of consecutive assignments.
Thank you so much for reading and I look forward to hearing from you to discuss your needs. Happy to talk anytime.
Past housesits include:
NB Since I wrote the list below there have been many more - from two sweet guinea pigs to three actual pigs, six beautiful ex-stud horses, and everything in between.
Ginger cat and extensive ornamental gardens on very large block. Sewage plant recycled water system for gardens requiring daily monitoring.
Black Labrador with medical needs and large suburban garden.
