We are Gillian and Danny, a couple in our early sixties, on the road after selling our home of 22 years in the Adelaide Hills, where we raised four lovely children amid much loved dogs, cats, goats, rabbits, fish...We will be in Darwin with family until July 2023, and will then be travelling back to SA to begin building another home in the Hills. We love the idea of caring for others' homes and pets over the time it takes to build our new place - we are open to house sits either in SA or interstate. Our previous home was on two acres, and we therefore have much experience in garden maintenance. We are relaxed, quiet living, physically active (keen walkers and cyclists) and work mostly from home, meaning we love to be at home, love to keep a beautifully tidy home and garden, and will happily provide company for any pets requiring it.

As we are new to this site, we have no reviews in the review section...but we'll include one here from a recent house sitting arrangement in Darwin. These owners have let us know they are happy to be contacted to verify this review.

Gillian & Danny house sat for us In Darwin for 8 weeks March/May 2023. It is a large house with a pool and mature garden. Gillian and Danny cared for everything beautifully. We arrived home to a spotless home, sparkling pool and manicured garden. During their stay there was an unexpected plumbing issue, identified by them that required them facilitating tradesmen access to remedy. It was managed with professionalism and we were thankful we had them dealing with it. We are off again next month and Gillian and Danny are once again caring for our home. From the first contact they were easy to communicate with and professional, It allowed us to relax on our break away from home. I can highly recommend them. Read more...
