Genuine animal lovers, we pride ourselves on our reliability, honesty, integrity, care, and open communication. Experienced in looking after single and multiple pets (dogs, cats, chooks, ducks, fish, cows, sheep, horses and even wombats), ; veggie gardens both small and extensive; large fruit orchards; plants and flowers; solar, water tanks, irrigation, and dams. We are a fit and healthy couple and are regularly asked back to sit again.
House sits to date have been both rural and suburban – ranging from 25 acre off-grid permaculture properties and 350 acre farms, to homes with gardens, and small apartments with balconies! We are humans with a heart; house sitters, pet sitters, and farm sitters; and a long-time professional couple experienced in corporate management and own private-therapy practice who have chosen a different lifestyle. For us it is rewarding and fulfilling that our enthusiasm for house and pet sitting enables us to connect with animals, plants and the land; with people and community; with volunteering opportunities and living in neighbourhoods in which we can show up and make a difference; and discovering new places. "Are you going away? Are you concerned about who will look after your home and your beloved pets? I was too but I left both my house and my three pets in the care of Caroline and Gordon for almost 4 weeks.
Best. Decision. Ever!!!! Not only did Caroline provide me with regular photos of our dog and two cats, she also wrote the best anecdotes about their various exploits. She described their responses to play and treats so accurately that I knew her stories were genuine. She also provided enough photos/stories of Caroline and Gordon using our home as we’d invited them to that I could see they were taking perfect care of it.
When we returned home, they had already left for another location. The house was immaculate, there was beautiful soup and a delicious casserole waiting for us AND a batch of home baked butterfly cakes on the kitchen counter. The pets were in the peak of health. Caroline and Gordon are absolute treasures who are welcome back to our home anytime, an invitation heartily endorsed by our German Shepherd dog and two spoilt cats."

“We feel very fortunate that Gordon and Caroline were able to complete a two-month house sit for us this year. They were very good communicators and delightful to deal with from the first contact through to their follow up email after the house sit. After meeting them shortly before we left to travel overseas, we felt at ease with our plans to be away for two months leaving our older dog and property in their care. This was due to their calm and confident manner, their obvious love of animals and their immediate bonding with our dog. During our time away Gordon and Caroline cared for our dog and our house and property in every way. We could rest assured while we travelled that all was well at home and appreciated the updates (including photos) they emailed to us on our travels. The house was beautiful and clean when we arrived home, which was lovely and although they had enjoyed the home and it’s atmosphere they had treated everything with great respect, which we appreciated. They met and impressed many of our neighbours and actively involved themselves in our small community during the two months even doing some voluntary work. They were very diligent with the jobs we left regarding the garden and indoor plants and welcomed two of our adult children into the home with baked goodies when they needed to collect something! We would not hesitate to refer Gordon and Caroline to anyone who loves their pets and home and wants to know that they are all well looked after. The only problem - our dog was somewhat sad when they left!”

"This recommended couple are easy going, enthusiastic, full of willingness to learn, enjoy nature and loooove dogs! Caroline is an excellent communicator and we found her daily updates, with wonderful photos very encouraging as we were overseas for the break. Gordon is a keen gardener and incorporates permaculture planning into his volunteer interests like community gardens. We were particularly impressed by their dedication and routine of early morning walks with dogs, feeding horses twice daily, and spending time brushing them. Totally spoilt pets! When we returned the house sparkled, there was a lovely meal cooked with fresh flowers on the table. We recommend Caroline and Gordon as trustworthy, capable people who will enjoy your place and love your animals as their own."

"Caroline and Gordon made our five week Vietnam trip so much easier - just knowing our 150 bush acres & extensive orchard & vegetable garden was lovingly cared for, made such a difference. No easy feat in a drought , but all my favourites were still thriving on our return. Our beautiful home was as we left it with only one thing out of place …. a delicious red wine slow cooked hot pot in the fridge waiting . How unexpectedly delightful. We thank you both so much & if we hear of anybody needing a house sitter we would give your number in a flash"

"Caroline & Gordon are the most wonderful house & pet minders we have ever had. Their communication & questions prior to their stay was really thorough & considerate. During their month stay, they kept us updated with our dog Willow’s adventures & often hilarious behaviours as she tried to put things over them… but they knew exactly how to lovingly handle her cheeky shenanigans! They also were amazingly accommodating to her usual routine, which involved very early morning walks during winter and liaising with gardeners and family friends to organise their visits. On our return, we were greeted with the most tidy house ever, thoughtful meals after our very long trip, and, a very calm and (thanks to all her exercise) now wonderfully svelte dog who I know still misses them. I highly recommend Caroline & Gordon, and will definitely be contacting them the next time we go away. And I know Willow would highly recommend them too, but also she will selfishly want them all to herself!"

"We were so impressed with the way Caroline and Gordon tended to our home, animals and garden whilst we were off enjoying ourselves overseas. Our doggie loved them so much, I don't think she has ever had so much attention, and I think she is still hoping they will both show up again to indulge her above the call of duty. Our garden has flourished, our chickens are content, the sheep have been well watered and our home has been left in impeccable condition.
