Practical, mature, couple of newly retired Kiwis, Charles and Annette.

We are currently looking for house-sits in ACT from 25/6/25 until 6/7/25; and Port Macquarie area 24/7/25 until 8/8/25. Also Upper Coomera, QLD, area, early October 2025.

We have experience house-sitting in NZ and Australia.
We are non-smokers, reliable, clean & tidy living. We are conscientious and will care for your property and animals as if they were our own. We try to maintain their routines, to lessen their anxiety in your absence. We will interact with them, take dogs on walks and excursions, and follow your instructions on the feeding and care of your pets/animals.

We enjoy caring for and having the companionship of animals and have owned and worked lifestyle farms most of our lives. We will be leaving behind in NZ our much loved 'Buddy' our Shih Tzu-Poodle cross, with our home and lifestyle block, in the care of house-sitters. We have experience with a range of domestic animals, both large and small, birds, fish and even the occasional reptile. We have had our own, and cared for others, horses, cattle, sheep, dogs, cats, birds.

We are able to do light farming duties such as moving and feeding stock, and light horse care.
We are happy to do light gardening, lawns, pool and property maintenance and security.

We will respect your property and privacy and not have others in your home, unless agreed to in advance.

We have also had the pleasure of housesitting while an elderly relative remained in the home.
Annette is a registered nurse with experience in care of the elderly, community nursing, and practice nursing in medical centres.
Charles has been in retail management, retirement village management, teaching, and now self-employed with a home based on-line business.

We have family in various areas of Australia and have house sat in NSW and Queensland. In 2025 we want to visit family in Port Macquarie, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney. We like to be near family, but independent, and find house sitting perfect for this as we also enjoy exploring the areas where we are staying.
We are also keen to avoid another NZ winter!

We have reviews available from our previous house-sitting year in Australia in 2017-2018, 3 months in 2022 and 3 months over winter of 2024.
We have current NZ police reports available.
We are happy to have phone or video calls with homeowners.
