We are a semi-retired professional couple with a love of dogs and the beach and the country.

In our time we have owned 6 dogs; mostly kelpies and rescue dogs.

We currently live in rural SA.
We previously lived on the Far South Coast NSW (1980 -2018) and then on the Fleurieu Peninsula SA (2018 -2022).

We had a Kelpie/Basenji "Kouta" rescue dog between 2015 -2022. After a long illness, we decided put Kouta down in 2022. He was a real kind and sociable dog who loved to play, rest and be around other dogs.

Our days usually started with a dawn walk with our dog to the local beach then a visit to a local bakery. Later in the day there was a long walk to finish off the day either down the beach or up the paddock or down our rural road. We all loved and continue to love exercise.

We still have a passion to explore beaches and country areas.

We had looked after our Far South Coast NSW 4 acre rural residential farm property for 27 years. Our home had expansive lawns, pool, gardens (including vegetables and orchard). We are still competent in the use of ride on mowers, pools, etc. We have also cared for cats, chickens, rabbits, canaries, ducks, horses as well as great and reliable kelpies, retrievers, labradors and border collies.

Our hobbies include caring for animals, gardening, kayaking, walking, swimming as well as some golf & fishing (particularly for trout with a fly -David) and netball (Viv).

We have extended family members living in 4 States - so we are used to travelling on a regular basis.

We have a small 14 ft caravan which we will often travel with - depending on the circumstances.

We are looking for house sitting positions with or without care for animals for periods of approximately 1 to 10 weeks.
