I am a 52-year-old, house-trained female. I have recently returned from living and working in the United States for 15 years. I worked in the cancer industry, renovated houses, was an Airbnb Superhost, landlord, and mum to Sam, a boxer mix, who was a true joy.

I am mindful of energy costs, water consumption, septic if not on town supplies, and security. I am happy in a city environment, though love a quieter life and am happy to be away from it all, particularly with a dog to keep me company.

During my US stay, I rescued Sam, age two. I'll go out on a limb here and say, I think I brought him as much joy as he brought me. At least he made me think so.

I work part-time online so I would be around most of the time to keep your animals exercised and provide company. I would treat your home as I would expect others to treat mine.

Sam had several sitters over the years, and too often I came back to find Sam in a state of depression, sullen and unresponsive. It's awful to come home feeling like you gave your best friend to someone just taking advantage. I can guarantee I will treat your animals with as much love and care as I would if they were my own.

I know it's important for dogs to get the right amount of exercise and mental exercise for their age, breed, and size to keep them content.
I've looked after several dogs and cats over the years: Large and small breed dogs.
Lola - a Bull terrier mix who I cared for many times.
Luke, a 130pd rambunctious long-haired labrador in need of a little training and lots of mental exercises as well as walks.
Jordy - an adorable Jack Russell terrier mix with some socialization issues and others.

I have also looked after several people's cats, whether friendly and affectionate or preferring their own space, I'm happy to look after and clean up after your furry friends.
