I am a retired public servant and lead a quiet lifestyle. I have three adult children and three beautiful grandchildren. I currently rent a room in a shared house with two other adults and a young child whilst I await public housing. I recently checked with Homeswest and was told that I could be offered an over 55's unit in the next 6 to 12 months months.

I've been fortunate in that I've share housing with kind, respectful, considerate and friendly housemates. Unfortunately the current owner is considering selling the house which means I may have to move again. This is the third place I've moved to in the past 18 months so I've decided to house sit rather than move into another house with people I don't know and which can be crowded.

As far as pets, I can only mind small dogs, cats, fish and/or birds.

I can provide a recent reference from friends whose house, dog, cat and fish I have minded over the past 12 years when they had their yearly family holiday. I did house-sit for other people (whom I dealt with over this site) before I retired from the Public Service but the last one was six years ago.
