Hello,

We are an English married couple in our early 30's available to house-sit in Perth. We have decided to settle in Perth after 15 months of travelling around Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. We have been successful in gaining employer sponsorship and have been enjoying the variety of house and pet sitting that Perth has to offer! So far we have completed 6 house sits caring for a variety of properties and pets. We have looked after pets with diabetes, elderly dogs, young energetic dog and pets with special dietary requirements.

We both enjoy gardening and any necessary gardening will be done for you while you are away. This includes any weeding, grass cutting and watering, including indoor plants.

We have both grown up with dogs and cats who were always treated as part of the family. We are responsible dog walkers, ensuring any mess is cleaned up and disposed of in designated bins, leads are kept on where required and any behaviours taken into account.
Being animal lovers we also have experience in looking after fish, snakes, scorpions, hermit crabs, rabbits, rats & pygmy hedgehogs!

We will follow your instruction on how you would like your pet to be cared for. This may include specific feeding times, grooming requirements, dietary needs, any veterinary prescribed medicines and of course to provide companionship and fuss!

Along our travels we have helpx'd in households in Tasmania and New Zealand. The idea of helpx is to work a number of hours a day, often maintenance, renovation or even farm work, in exchange for food and accommodation. This has seen us painting eves, fixing tractors and even bathing piglets to name a few. We have also made some great friends and reliable referees.

Whilst traveling in New Zealand we house sat at a small farm. We absolutely loved this experience and luckily had the opportunity to house sit on two occasions. The home owner contacted us whilst we were still in the North Island and asked if we would be happy to return whilst she visited family. Of course we were really pleased and on return we were introduced to a few new characters including Gus the goat and three friendly Suffolk sheep! The animals we cared for included calves, 6 miniature donkeys, sheep and ducks.

We will treat your home like it is our own. This means it will be clean and tidy, secured appropriately, respectful of neighbours and any appliances used will be treated with respect and ensured are left safe.

We are available for short and long term sits and would welcome the opportunity to meet you, supply references (written and phone) and discuss your house sitting requirements. We have no pets or children and own transport (and happy to transport your dog in our car if there's a beach etc nearby they like to have walks on!)

We've had quite a few home owners contact us for Christmas pet and house sits, unfortunately we will not be house sitting over this period. We are however free in the upcoming weeks!
