I am an experienced, mature, non-smoking, retired lady who enjoys travelling and living in different places, and who loves animals. My approach to house-sitting is to respect the trust placed in me, to look after your home as if it was my own and to return it to you in as good or better condition, and to give your pet/s the utmost attention and care, keeping them in the environment that they are happiest in.

Professionally, I was an Executive Assistant. My two grown children live in Tenterfield and Newcastle. I love painting and photography in the landscape. I enjoy walking and gardening.

In 2013, my then husband and I were house sitting in and around the Gold Coast from September 2013 until May 2014, and travelled and house/farm/pet/business sat solely until 2018, and have completed more than 40 house-sits. We thoroughly enjoyed our pet and house sitting experiences, with the variety of locations, properties and pets. The opportunity to discover local culture and live as locals in the community is far more attractive to us than visiting as tourists, and we have made many good friends (humans and pets) along the way.

Our pet and house sitting experiences have taken us to Katherine in the Northern Territory, and up and down the east coast from Hervey Bay in Queensland to Franklin in southern Tasmania.

Properties have been many and varied, including small historic cottages, hobby farms from 5 acres up to 140 acres, waterfront homes, harbour apartments, and many others. We have also relief managed a B&B, a small marine business and a nursery. Responsibilities have included many and varied animals, both domestic and farm, along with pools, gardens and lawns, vegetable patches and small orchards.

Since 2018 I have lived in Tasmania, although I continue to house-sit from time to time, especially during the winter months. I housesat in 2024 for 3 months along the east coast of NSW.

I have attached house sitting references (including from many clients outside of Mindahome) and National Police Checks to our profile. Previous home-owners, a number of whom have asked us to do return sits or referred us to others, are also happy to be contacted as referees. I am always available to have a phone conversation or Skype.
