Hello!

My name is Ezekiel, I’m a free-spirited 31-year-old originally from Manly Beach in Sydney, but have been living in Byron Bay and surrounding areas for the last few years.

I love travelling around and exploring new places. I’m also a big animal lover - so this platform is great for me.

I’ve had various pets over the course of my life - a few cats, dogs and an aquarium. I raised a gorgeous Kelpie X Ridgeback named Ziggy who I rescued from a shelter about six years ago. I co-parent Ziggy with my sister who lives with her family on a gorgeous property down near Scott’s Head. It’s hard to take Ziggy away from this slice of paradise - it’s literally dog heaven - so she will stay put in Scott’s Head when I’m house sitting.

I work remotely on a freelance and contract basis as a media and communications professional, producing all sorts of written and multimedia content for various clients around the country.

I’m also a music producer and sound designer, and for the past 8 months I’ve been rapidly self-educating/upskilling to integrate this further into my future career.

I’m looking to house sit ideally for two weeks or more at a time - sometimes less - at homes where I can WFH, continue producing music and ideally be around animals and nature - which is all the company I want/need during this creative period I’m currently enjoying.

I use a digital audio workspace to do all my music and sound design, and I exclusively use headphones for this work as the quality of sound quality needs to be as high as possible - so no need to worry about me making too much noise. If anything, this work makes me quieter around the house.

Part of being successful in my work is regularly taking breaks (every 45 minutes at least) - so I will be attentive to the house at all time. Going for walks is an essential way for me to reset, so pets will be walked regularly if that’s what they want/need.

Aside from all that, I’m a very clean, caring, considerate, respectful and responsible person - and my lifestyle follows suit. This goes without saying but of course it’s your house, your rules, and I’d never operate any differently in someone else’s space. I’m happy to take care of any of your wants/needs around the house while you are away, granted it’s within my ability to do so. I’m quite handy so I can’t imagine there would be much I couldn’t do for you. I’ve got a fair bit of experience gardening and growing veggies - am big on composting and green living. However, my experience is limited when it comes to more complex/labour intensive farm work, and I’ve not cared for livestock on my own before. I’d love the opportunity to do this but may need to be taught a thing or two for anything that’s not relatively self-explanatory, or easy enough to google. But I’m a fast learner!

I can promise to take the best of care of your property and pets while you’re away, and you can except to return home as if you never left.
