We are a retired couple aged 78 and 76. We are both fit and active, and non-smokers

We live in the beautiful Bay of Islands in the north of New Zealand. We've loved our house-sitting experiences in Australia and are keen to do more.

We have owned cats and dogs in the past, and now have the freedom to enjoy caring for and spoiling your pets.

We have both had professional careers (secondary school teacher and legal executive) We're house proud, sociable, honest and reliable. We'll look after your house as if it's our own (please see our reviews).

More than happy to keep in touch with you via email or WhatsApp while you are away.

Our experience includes looking after dogs, cats, two horses, domestic ducks, a cockatoo and a cockatiel as well as feeding the large wild bird population which visited one property we looked after. We've also maintained swimming pools, lawns and gardens.

Have a wide range of DIY and home maintenance skills if needed. We have also done two security sits where no animal caring was needed.

We are both community minded. Fran fundraises for our local St John Ambulance and Lu helps in the Op Shop which assists with funding the local Ambulance and the Health Shuttle.

As we are Kiwis and don't have a car in Australia, house-sits with a vehicle available for our use are our preference, although this is not absolutely essential as we hire a car for short(ish) sits if one is not available. When available, we have been able to be of assistance for many home owners by taking them to the airport and picking them up on their return, thus saving complex transport arrangements or parking fees.

References and police clearances available. We both have clean driver licences.
