Hello,
We are a genuine, sincere and trustworthy couple. We are reliable, responsible & will respect, take good care & maintain your home and pets as we would our own. You’ll return to a clean, tidy home & happy healthy animals. We have experience both as homeowners (Canberra & Cairns) & house sitters, & have been house sitting since 2019, travelling the east coast & now currently in far North Queensland with our caravan. In December 2023 we had a house sit in Trinity Beach (cyclone) & in 2024 January Holloways Beach (floods), Feb-Mar near Behana Gorge, Mar-Apr & May in Wongaling Beach, Jul-Sep Wonga Beach & Minbun.
We’re happy to discuss & meet your requirements eg., house care & security, feeding & exercising pets, watering plants, mowing lawns & mail collection. If unexpected circumstances arise eg., bushfires, cyclones or floods we would remain in close consultation with you, & if possible be willing to postpone our travel plans to ensure the safety of your property & pets. We love animals and have owned dogs, cats & fish. More specifically while housesitting we’ve enjoyed caring for various small & large dogs & cats, chickens, gold fish & guinea pigs. We’ve also house sat a small farm with cats, dogs, 60 chickens, 6 ducks, 3 guineafowl, 3 goats & 2 galahs. They each had their own individual morning & afternoon care & feeding routines.
We’re both 68, retired from full-time work & are very fortunate to have good health. We lived many years in PNG, Canberra, Woomera, Cairns, Beijing. We’ve enjoyed travelling to other countries, most recently to Italy in 2018.
Terry’s a keen fisherman, I love to draw, paint, quilt & play croquet amongst other interests. We both enjoy reading, beach/bush walking & meeting lovely people during our travels.
We joined “The Housesitters” site in 2019. During 2019-2022 we completed 18 housesits, some impacted by bushfires & floods (none in 2020 due to covid travel restrictions). We joined “Mindahome & Aussie Housesitters” in April 2023. In 2023 we completed house sits in Port Macquarie (Feb & May), Binna Burra (Mar), Elanora (Apr & July), Scarborough (Aug) & Glenwood Qld (Sep).
We have Homeowner References through “The Housesitters” site (2019-2022 & contact details which are available on request). Also Homeowner Feedback from house sits through “Mindahome & Aussie House sitters” (2022-2023).
