Hi everyone,

Our names are Stewart and Elaine, and we are a retired couple currently touring Australia, full-time in our caravan. A little about us:

* Stewart was a professional fire-fighter for 46 years, serving throughout the state of Victoria, ending his career in Melbourne as a Senior Station Office where we previously lived for 16 years.

* Elaine was for many years in travel management back in her home country of Canada and here in Australia, as well as a 2-year stint overseas teaching English to primary school age children in South Korea.

Amongst our varied skills that we bring to this house-sitting lifestyle is that we have learned how to think on our feet and adapt quickly to whatever life (and the weather) throws at us!

While we genuinely do love animals, we acknowledge that we are not familiar with farm animals and therefore our preference would be a property where the furry companions are dogs or cats or other domesticated pets or chickens etc. In terms of caring for a property, we are happy to do light gardening (i.e., watering, weeding and/or pool maintenance). Our preferred length of any house sits would be between 14 days and 8 weeks, though happy to take longer if the location and situation suits.

We are currently in Northern NSW, then heading to Queensland to look after another property just outside of Brisbane for the month of December. Then early next year (End of Jan through to mid-March) we are heading back across the pond to Canada for a visit, then back in Australia in March, so will be looking for another house sit after that.

One final note, we do have a 22' caravan that is our own home and will need to be parked onsite, so that does need to be taken into consideration when taking up a house sit for you.
