More information about this house sitter
Hello,
I am currently seeking a calm and reliable place to settle for a little while, as I’m navigating a difficult period in my relationship. I’m 41, female, and work part‑time (Tuesday to Thursday) for a reputable not‑for‑profit organisation. My weekly routine is structured and predictable — two days in the office (Midland or Burswood) and one day working from “home”, wherever that may be. This means I am only away during the day twice a week and am consistently home in the mornings, evenings, and overnight.
My usual home base is Bullsbrook, where I live on a 5‑acre property. I will miss my dog, Raffy, but he will be well cared for by my nineteen‑year‑old son, Cameron. My current challenge is being without a car; my much‑loved 120‑series petrol Prado (“Bertha”) reached 550,000 km and has been with my mechanic since February while we wait to see if a replacement engine can be sourced. Because of this, house sits with an available vehicle are ideal. I want to reassure you that I would use it sparingly and respectfully — only for commuting to work, picking up essentials, park visits with your fur baby. For longer sits.... the occasional visit to see my son and own fur baby would mean the world to me (particularly if Cameron is restricted from visiting and/or staying with me at a house sit for the odd night). I am more than happy to provide my full C‑class licence and demerit check for your peace of mind. And yes, I can most definitely drive a manual :)
I have completed several house-sits and pride myself on being dependable, respectful, and conscientious. I am very comfortable with routines, medication, property quirks, cleaning of home/pool, minor gardening/ watering but more importantly adhering to meaningful details that help pets feel secure while their humans are away. My reviews reflect the level of care I provide — I am known for leaving homes immaculate and pets relaxed, content, and well‑loved.
I always recommend a meet‑and‑greet so you can get a sense of me in person, and so I can learn about your pets’ personalities, needs, and routines. An opportunity to 'bond' with your fur baby, so-to-speak. This can be arranged on a day when I can borrow my son's car.
I would sincerely welcome the opportunity to be considered as your next reliable house sitter and willing to adapt without a car, provided I have access to near-by public transport or within walking distance from either office location.
Warm regards,
Gilly Read more...
