Hello

My name is Gina, I am a 36 year old midwife. I have just moved back to SE Queensland after 10 years in Newcastle, NSW.

I am figuring out where I want to live permanently, and in the meantime I have been house-sitting over the summer. So far I have had two house-sitting positions, both have been wonderful. I am actually going back to house-sitting again in February for the first family.

Currently, I have that house sitting position locked in from 10-24 February. My sister lives in Ormeau, and I can stay with her for short stints which means I can work with you on dates and times. I am looking for longer term positions. Two weeks would be the minimum, but preferably three weeks plus.

I have had pets (cats and dogs) for many years and know how nerve-wracking it is to leave your pet-babies behind. I will look after your pets like they are my own. I am happy to take care of any tricky pet needs, eg medication, and ensure your pets have the exercise, stimulation, and love they require.

I will be working 3-4 days per week during my stay, so if your pet can’t be left alone for an average 8-10 hour work day, I may not be the best fit. I will always make sure pets are walked and fed before and after work.

I am responsible, respectful, and tidy. I keep up with the cleaning, collect the mail, and live my quiet life. I am happy to respect any rules about guests. Previously, I have only had my parents or my sister over with permission from the owners.

I am happy to look after your plants/garden with instructions. But if your lawn or garden is your pride and joy and requires very specific, expert care, it may be best to outsource that. I don’t want to ruin anyone’s hard work be pretending I can do something I can’t! I am good for watering, rotating pot plants, basic mowing, fertiliser/plant food on a schedule.

I can provide references and a police check (a requirement for my job). I am pretty flexible in finding a time for me to come and meet you and your pets.
