More information about this house sitter

We are a middle aged, responsible, non-smoking couple who love animals, the garden and the outdoors.

We enjoy house and pet sitting and as we are home owners ourselves, we have a great respect for other people's property, especially when entrusted to it as caretakers. We are Zimbabwean born and two of our children are both married with children of their own, living in Perth, Australia.

I am not employed at present, but until recently, we owned and ran a Bed & Breakfast Lodge together with my late Mum who passed away sadly in August, 2020, during Covid. My husband, Horace, is a widely experienced Agronomist, and is also a practical man. We love gardening and have a swimming pool at our own house in Harare, Zimbabwe, so we are used to pool maintenance too. We love animals and have just recently had to say good-bye to our beloved 13 year old Mastif cross Labrador. We have also enjoyed having cats in the past, who also have passed away from old age. We are well versed in animal care.

We are in the process of applying for an Australian Sponsored Working Visa in the Agronomy field and currently hold Bridging Visas. As we are staying in the wheat belt at present we would like to house sit somewhere that is nearer to the sea over the Christmas period to enjoy the sea air and occasional walks on the beach as well as being closer to our family.

We have lived in our own home since 1997, and my husband and I maintain our house and the whole property. This care and attention that we bring to our own house and possessions will be extended to any house that we may have the privilege to take care of in the future.

We have done quite a few house sits in and around Perth in the past and can supply references on request.
