We're Shelby & Ian, in our mid 40's and based in Sydney. Shelby is originally from the US and Ian is originally from New Zealand. We can't get enough of the animals, outdoors- we enjoy hiking, biking (road and mtn), kayaking, climbing rocks, abseiling, ziplining, backpacking and camping. We both have a travellers heart, integrating into other cultures by socialising, eating great foods, learning traditions and making new connections.

Both of us have had pets for as long as can remember, they bring so much to your life, so loyal. We have a 9yr old Lab mix that we share with my adult children (therefore Lenny has a place to stay if it doesn't suit the home owners to have him with us).

Shelby is trained as a dental nurse working in Sydney 3 days/week. Ian is a cruise specialist and works off the laptop in the comfort of our home (or yours). This is ideal because pets get walked/ran and snuggled all throughout the day, there's always someone at the home. We don't tend to go out much during the week and only during the the day time on weekends to have a bike ride or hike or similar. We'd never be out of the home more than 4-5 hrs on a weekend. We've ditched the house for a campervan in between housesits until we find the perfect spot to permanently settle down. Read more...
