I am a responsible and trustworthy person, as is my partner. My partner is Dutch and we've lived in The Netherlands for the last 25 years, but now that our children are adult and independent we'll be basing ourselves in Adelaide, with regular visits to family in The Netherlands. After being rented out for 25 years our house in Adelaide needs extensive renovation so we'd like to house sit instead of imposing on family and friends for the (many) months that it will take, given the difficulty of finding builders and tradesmen who have the time to do the project. We've both owned houses for the last 33 years and know how to maintain them in good condition. We have experience caring for cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs. We live quietly and don't entertain except for occasional dinners with close friends. We also enjoy pottering around in the garden so are fully prepared to maintain gardens as well as houses. We're non-smokers and prefer not to be in environments where people are/have smoked. We're also quite careful with our usage of water and electricity, an asset given the way prices are climbing in the current environment!
