I am an active and healthy woman in her 60s and live on and work a small farm in Maleny, Qld. I raise cattle and am a slave to my two cats and one dog. I have rarely been without cats (mostly Siamese), dogs (always German Shepherds and a couple of Retrievers) and even the occasional calves, chooks, and lambs.


I have been to Perth many times and have no need for tourism or entertaining. I am a quiet, respectful and very clean and tidy person who “measures twice and cuts once”. My own home is very clean and tidy, and I will maintain your home in exactly the same way. I don't drink or smoke and use a common-sense approach to life. I am a good communicator and would commit to regular photos and updates of your pet(s) and property.

While I currently have a 15 year old Retriever and two cats I am at heart a dog person and have been a loving owner of 5 German Shepherds and 2 Retrievers in my life. There is nothing to match that “look” that is passed between human and dog when both belong to each other.

I have a different relationship with cats, because each and every cat is an original and each has to be respected for who they are. I am very partial to Siamese and currently enjoy the good favour of Blue and my domestic ( with a touch of Bengal) Asha. My animals will be staying home with the rest of the family in Qld.

I am the daughter of a grazier, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I understand when they are happy and know when things are not quite right. My dogs have always been well trained and gently behaved around both family and strangers. My youngest daughter and my grand-daughters were closely escorted by one of my dogs wherever they went on our farm and special guard duty was performed whenever children were in the pool.

I have not done home/pet sitting before, but I have the knowledge when it comes to animals, the respect for other people’s property and wishes, and the experience and capacity to meet any situation that arises. Read more...
