Hi There👋 Are you going away for a longer or indefinite Term? (2-4-6 mths) OR perhaps you just need HELP! Need an extra pair of hands? Do you love your place but it’s getting too big to manage on your own? Do YOU need support and/or consistent help with the fluffballs? Would a reliable, consistent, more frequently available person for those impromptu getaways or unpredictable life contingencies be an asset to your life? Maybe an experienced, flexible, genuine, long-term sitter, part-time or permanent, live-on site, sitter/support person could be the answer to giving you a break once in a while? Or just peace of mind when you're not home? I AM THAT PERSON! For the past 3 yrs I have been the "Backer-upper-er" / long-term, partly live-in House Sitter in NSW & VIC, for 2 main properties. In addition to other house sits doing 4-5 weeks.
I would still be with these homeowners but had to return to the Sunny Coast in Jan 2025 for personal reasons. I am now looking to help local homeowners in the same way, for longer terms or more permanent arrangements as mentioned above. Sound interesting? Well, I am open to any suggestions or ideas?
MY EXPERIENCE
I have extensive experience with most animals & Properties as a Sitter & also as a homeowner in the past. Dogs, cats, sheep, alpacas, marine fish, chickens, cows, geese & wildlife. I have cared for homes with and without animals. I have been entrusted to care for big sprawling residences to little cabins in the hills to rural farms and the humble suburban home. The homeowners and places I have lived, have been amazing. I am so gratefu 🙏
I absolutely adore all animals and truly respect Mother Nature🌿… including the uninvited ones like snakes! I can mow, garden, chop wood, look after pools and am savvy with most maintenance issues, before the professionals are called in! Honestly, I have seen it all!
MY STORY
I have been a Noosa Shire resident for nearly 30yrs now. I first started House Sitting privately on and off, from Nov 2020. Then, I got serious and later joined Mindahome, in May 2022. On Mindahome, I was quickly snapped up by 3 amazing homeowners, two in Northern NSW and the other on the Surf Coast in VIC. I have been their main/part-time live-in House sitter right up until the end of 2024. Hence, I was not active on Mindahome the entire time – I have just re-joined, so it reads as limited time on Mindahome.
ME
I am a non-smoking, healthy, very quiet, clean and tidy woman and am passionate about food, healing food so, I LOVE preparing / cooking and growing food, where I can. I spend time in the water at the beach, lakes, swimming pools & creeks. I get out for walks, take the dogs if needed and get amongst nature as much as I can and have just started Hiking – Argh! I practice Vedic yoga, meditation, psychology, art, reading and music. I attend Qi Gong & Yoga classes in Pomona during the week and love the farmers Markets on weekends.
I am truly quiet - I prefer solitude and focus while house sitting, just spending time with myself (and the animals of course) to work on writing, research and tending to your home. I work closely with your neighbours & community if needed. I just stick to myself, maybe we catch up with a dinner here and there, but do our own thing too.
DOGS
My passion and main interest in life is studying and consulting all the varied Healing Modalities available for Humans and Dogs, including medicinal foods - Ayurveda. I help heal Dogs and help Owners learn how to speak Dog – verbal and non-verbal – improving behavioural and Pack Communication issues. I have started to establish a small clientele in the Pomona area and am slowly building this up as a full-fledged business, in due course, not rushing. I am completing a few courses to complete my full dossier for this unique healing practice.
SECURITY
My reputation as a person, not only as a House Sitter is well founded. I have secured my sits via recommendation and have numerous personal references from my previous homeowners – as referees. Upon request I can provide these details - their privacy is also important. I will provide any references / reassurance you may require in due course.
Police Check is loaded up on this site, in my married name, but I have ID for both my legal names. I can give you the reassurance of security and safety in your absence (once we meet in person, I can explain why I can guarantee this).
