I'm an animal lover: with my own, affectionate, smoochy black cat, Lulu, aged 6. We rescued her from the RSPCA aged 1 and she is our fourth RSPCA cat. We adopted older cats in the past (Blackie, Riley and Mia) and gave them a loving home in their later years ...

Over the years, I've informally sat for and cared for dogs, cats (including 4 cats in an apartment in Paris!) and farm animals (sheep and chickens) as well as fish.

In Melbourne I was a volunteer dog walker and formed a strong bond with the family even after Jack (Kelpie) was relocated to a farm! As a young person I rode horses and have retained my love of these animals and some familiarity with their needs.

In 2023 I've not pet sat, due to other commitments, but in 2022 I travelled and cared for quite a few pets. I've had great reviews from these sits on another platform and have reposted them below here.

We use pet sitters for Lulu, so really appreciate the needs of a pet owner to feel safe about the care of your pets and home and the benefit of trusted communication to allay any concerns.

I'm very happy to care for any type of pet - dogs, cats, fish, birds etc

My husband Lucas - Nurse Assistant - may also assist time permitting, or if we are travelling together.

In addition to our pet sitting reviews, we have a consistently positive profile on airbnb where we have stayed in other people's homes and always left them in a clean, tidy state and as we found on arrival. I can share this if you wish.

We are both professionals working in large, respected organizations and submitted personal information for security and police checks so you can be sure we are genuinely trustworthy.

2022 SITS AND REVIEWS

October 2022: a Sydney weekend sit for 'cat boys' Vinny and Morty. While a little wary they both warmed up and were happy for pats and hellos by the end of the weekend!

Review: Marie Louise was wonderful to deal with from the first interaction, very responsive and accommodating. Her and her partner Lucas took wonderful care of our two cats whilst we were away for the weekend and gave us regular updates and photos. We returned to a tidy house and two happy cats, I would definitely invite Marie Louise back again!

July 2022: a Sydney weekend sit for 2 cat friends Harriet and Elsa

Review: Marie was absolutely amazing, she stayed and looked after my two cats for a weekend. Marie communicated before the visit to organise a handover and sent me updates throughout the stay which was lovely. The apartment was beautifully taken care of and both cats were calm and relaxed when I got home. It was Harriet's first time with a cat sitter and she is normally terrified of strangers, but absolutely loved Marie! Thank you so much Marie!

Easter 2022: Largs Bay, Adelaide Lucas and I looked after Cracker cat ... he was just so friendly and made us feel right at home!

Review: It was great to have reliable sitters over the Easter weekend. We came home to a tidy house and happy cat. I'm happy to recommend them as sitters for future clients.

March 2022: Campbell, ACT over a long weekend I looked after Henry, a mini daschund and T&J two cats who did not appear a lot! I did some short walks with Henry in the neighborhood and kept him company a lot. My Mum also had him sit with her on her lap!!

Review: Marie-Louise was a wonderful house sitter. She took the time before I left to make sure that everything was understood with the house an animals. She messaged us with updates regarding the pets which we appreciated greatly as it was our first time with a house sitter. She made us feel at ease with the animals. She really looked after the house too and left it in a very clean state. I would definitely have Marie-Louise back to house sit and would recommend her to others.

January 2022 my husband and I cared for Alfie in Balmain, Sydney a Bichon Frise and did lots of walks around Balmain and Birchgrove as well as throwing his Kong toy in the back yard ...a lot! We had fun with Alfie but naturally he was very pleased when his real family came home!

Christmas 2019: cared for Jack, a large and affectionate 6yo great dane/greyhound, who liked a morning and evening walk in Newport Melbourne for 1 week. I also took up the challenge and fed and watered a bearded dragon, Draco ... who liked carrot, greens and the occasional cricket! Read more...
