Hello.
We are Maurice and Anne Marie, a happily married couple (yes, it’s true), both 66y.o, both recently retired professionals and both fit and healthy.
Maurice was a much loved and respected Secondary School Teacher teaching mathematics. As a keen lawn bowls player and a very doting grandfather, retirement is suiting him very well. I held Senior Manager roles within Victorian State government and Australian Federal government departments. (You can view my profile on Linkedin).
We are both experienced house sitters. Although working full time, we house sat for nearly 2 years, taking on back to back assignments. We were often invited back by home owners to house sit for them and were disappointed we weren’t able to do any house sitting these past couple of years during the pandemic. But we’re very excited to be getting back to house/ pet sitting again now.
We’ve looked after miniature cows, goats, dogs, cats, birds and cared for flower gardens and vegetable gardens.
As landlords ourselves, we certainly understand how important it is to choose honest, reliable and respectful people to care for the home, pets and garden. Both Maurice and I held work positions that required us to undergo stringent safety screening and to conduct ourselves professionally and lawfully at all times.
We have had 3 dogs while our children were growing up. Bonnie - a Bearded Collie, Dougal - a Border Collie Cross and Abbi - a little Maltese Bichon Cross. We don’t own pets any more, so as house sitters we enjoy the opportunity to look after home owners precious pets.
You will be able to relax and enjoy your time away from home knowing we are there caring for your place. We are very house proud people who will care for your home as impeccably as we care for our own. We are quiet people who enjoy exploring new parts of the country and we love our evenings at home watching tv, having a chat over a glass of red and spoiling other people’s pets.
