Hi, I’m Gab!

I’m a 39-year-old professional currently working with the Australian Bureau of Statistics (Australian Federal Government), where I lead a team delivering the Monthly Population Survey—better known as the Unemployment Rate!

Before this, I spent much of my career in the International Aid and Development sector, working with organisations like the Red Cross, CARE International, and the Australian Federal Police. I'm reliable, organised, respectful, and caring, with exceptional references—both professionally and from previous house-sits.

Why House Sitting?
My 7-year-old daughter, Evelyn, and I traded the comfort of a permanent home for house-sitting as a way to save money, care for animals, and explore different parts of Melbourne and Victoria—a real adventure! It’s been an amazing experience so far.

We’ve cared for dogs, cats, horses, chickens, birds, and rabbits and have loved every minute of it. When we don’t have a house-sit lined up, we stay with my mum in Bayside, Melbourne—a lovely base between sits.

A Bit More About Us:
Evelyn goes to primary school in Melbourne’s South-East, so we’re looking for house sits within a reasonable distance from her school and our support network.

We’re an active, outdoors-loving duo happiest in nature and, of course, around animals! I love to camp, hike, and unwind by the water—be it a beach, pool, or lake (preferably in very hot weather!). Evelyn, on the other hand, shares my love for animals and adventure—just not my obsession with the heat!

Your Home & Pets—In Great Hands:
Caring for someone’s home is a privilege and responsibility I take very seriously. You can trust that your home will be treated with care and respect, and if you have pets, they will be loved and looked after as if they were our own.

We’re ideally looking for longer stays (one months or more) but are happy to consider shorter sits if it works for everyone.
