Hi there. We are Tara and Selim, a married couple in our 30s / early 40s. We both love animals and lead an active lifestyle. For 6 years we have worked and volunteered at sea with different NGOs, (Sea Shepherd and Search and rescue ships in the Med) which is why house sitting has worked so well for us. We were often away at sea for a few months at a time, then had a few months off. Our lifestyle involves a lot of travel, so we're unable to have our own pets. With housesitting, we can still enjoy the company of cats and dogs, with the morning walks and pats on the couch!
We're currently taking an extended break from the ships and have spent the last year housesitting around Melbourne.

We both love regular exercise, and getting outside to play / walk / run with pets. We're happy to do gardening or other maintenance jobs around the home. We are both clean, quiet, respectful and reliable. We don’t smoke or drink, and we eat a clean vegan diet.

We have both grown up with pets and until about 7 years ago, we both had large dogs that lived to old age. We have done pet sitting for a range of animals, including cats, dogs, guinea pigs, fish, rabbits and farm animals.
