We have been house sitting in Australia and overseas since 2009 using TrustedHousesitters site.

We are both recently retired mental health workers - psychologist and rehabilitation therapy assistant QHealth.

Our jobs have taught us the importance of simple pleasures and not taking life for granted.

We are both sensible, calm, happy people (a survival pre-requisite in our jobs). When we are at home we enjoy market shopping and cooking up a great meal, kicking back and watching Netflix, or having Sunday breakfasts with family.

Neither of us smoke or drink excessively. We are both house proud and tidy ... ok...so Phil is a bit obsessive, but a man who cleans and fluffs the cushions is brilliant in my view :-)

We have had a lot of house sitting and pet sitting experience, both here in the beautiful western suburbs of Brisbane and overseas. We love being able to live interesting and varied lives without feeling like tourists. As animal lovers we get to walk the dog and cuddle the cat without being restricted by having pets of our own.

We feel very privileged that people have entrusted their homes and pets to our care, which is no small thing. We very much understand it is a leap of faith for all, and we are sensitive to owners needs. From our side - our experiences have shown us that people are kind and generous and that language is no barrier to communication when interest exists.
