Reliable and adaptable sitter

I'm an occupational therapist specialising in housing adaptability and management of chronic illness; I'm an amateur classical musician (I play the clarinet) and inveterate traveller. I will be sitting with my eldest, Jarrah (33yrs), who is an actor, writer and dramaturg. Jarrah is returning to uni studies in 2026.

We are both equally happy in remote natural surroundings and city-based cultural affairs. We are comfortable with our own company, enjoy each other’s company and we love the friendship of a cuddly pet. We’re good at following instructions - we’ll care for your pet and home in the way you would like us to.

I have a lifetime of experience with pets and houses. My informal friendship network has always looked after each others homes, pets and pools while away on holidays. I spent 4 months house-sitting in France and the UK prior to the pandemic and had a wonderful time meeting people and pets. Please read the attached files of my reviews from my overseas sits.

As I approach retirement I’m moving my OT practice towards online services that be provided from anywhere with a good internet connection. I've lived inner city Brisbane for years, and want to explore where I’d like to settle for my retirement.

Jarrah has recently returned to Brisbane after living in the UK and Germany for over a decade and is keen to become reacquainted with Brisbane while establishing connections to theatre, writing and study.

We want to explore different pockets of Brisbane to see where we each want to settle for the next stage of our lives. We love the idea that while we are immersing ourselves in various neighbourhoods for several weeks we can offer a service and peace of mind to you while you are away.
