I'm an occupational therapist by trade specialising in housing adaptability; I'm an amateur classical musician (I play the clarinet) and inveterate traveller. I'm equally happy in remote natural surroundings and city-based cultural affairs. I'm comfortable with my own company and love the friendship of a cuddly pet. I'm good at following instructions - I'll care for your pet and home in the way you would like me to.
I have a lifetime of experience with pets and houses. Up until 5 years ago a dog has always been a part of my family - including all my childhood. As a teenager I started looking after family friend's houses while they were away on holidays, and the tradition has continued ... my informal friendship network has always looked after each others homes, pets and pools while away on holidays.
I live with my 2 adult children in inner city Brisbane. We need to leave our current rental on 2 November 2023 and would like to house sit within the greater Brisbane area while we look for and settle into a new home. The timing is awful - right in the middle of uni exams, community theatre 6-week performance schedule, and community orchestra end of year concert. We plan to pack up and put everything in storage, then take a house-sitting breather while we find our perfect place. I spent 4 months house-sitting in France and the UK prior to the pandemic and had a wonderful time meeting people and pets. I would love to revisit that experience with Jarrah and Deakin in our local community. I run a home-based business so will need good internet connection. Read more...
