Hey there! We’re Julian and Lourdes, a remote software engineer and architect currently based in Cairns. Traveling through Mindahome allows us to discover Australia in a more authentic way, meeting local people and living like true locals. We also love animals, so it’s the perfect combo for us. We’re non-smokers and enjoy quiet, peaceful places.

We have experience pet sitting, house sitting, and plant sitting. I (Lourdes) have had two pets in my adult life: a Dachshund and a Poodle. They both lived long, happy lives (Lola the Poodle was almost 17, and Pipa the Dachshund is now 12), so I’m very familiar with the needs of senior pets. Julian is the dog-sitter of the neighborhood and has a 9-year-old cat named Tengen, so he’s definitely the cat expert between us.

We treat every home we stay in as if it were our own and are always very careful and respectful of the hosts' instructions. References are available upon request!
